Does MK5 has this kind of camouflage with colors？Which area？

WOW, there re some simply beautifully-finished models there, but I will never understand for the life of me what compels a masterful modeler to build and finish a gorgeously-weatherbeaten work of Art--and then to carelessly throw it on a boring, bare, lacquered piece of wood! AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRGH! Makes me want to cry every time! How hard is it to throw down a simple layer of ground material and some static grass?

Karl, if you are refering to the photograph at the top, that is not bare wood, I believe it is depicting a concrete surface....

I'm not 100% sure but I believe in certain competition entry rules the placing of a model has to be done in this way, otherwise I think it gets classed as a diorama rather than a "stand alone" model of a particular subject, but as I say I'm not 100% sure as I don't enter competitions. Alan

I asked this same question not that long ago, and I was told that according to IPMS rules, if it is just simple ground work, ie: a road, grass, field, sand, etc, etc, "In its Natural Environment", that it is still considered armor. When you add anything else such as ammo boxes, figures other than on the vehicle, buildings, structures of any kind, etc, it then becomes a diorama. Not sure if the base of a road, grass, etc, would be allowed to incorporate trees and bushes and such......as that may be over the top as to how that rule could be interpreted.

Hi Guys,:-H As it is a mate of mine who built the Chieftain MK5 on the photo, in answer to Karl quote, the MK5 is depicted on concrete and it was entered in the Military class. He has shown other of his chieftains in diorama settings but was told this entry would be classed as a Military entry. John's attention to detail is without question as he used to drive the things in the forces. On a another note, a so called expert on centurions looked at Johns ARV centurion on our club stand and declared it as 'fancy' and the look on his face when he found out John had driven the thing!! Hi I am new in this page forums so let me say hello to everybody!! I have seen in one of Keith Forsyth photos (number 26803 of the fisrt page) a couple of UAZ-452 bodies in grey. I would like to know if there is a commercial kit of it or if those were jsut scrtch build. I am very interested in taht model so if any could give info will be very welcome.
