Militray Vehicle Open Day, Imperial War Museum Duxford 6th June 2009.
The Ford WOA1 was a development of the 1938/39 22hp Saloon. It was fitted with a more powerful 32hp engine. The appearance was also altered to suit the military role, with cutaway wings which allowed for the oversized 9.00 x 13 sand tyres when used in the desert. The WOA1/A variant had more conventional 6.50 x 16 tyres. The same simplified radiator grill was used on other Ford military vehicles. (Referenced from British Military Transport by David Jane).
