The Cyber-Hobby Flak Panther ausf. D was really a blast to build. It has been modeled in the markings of the German Abt. 653 in Tarnopol, south-east Poland in 1944.
To ensure some realism, the only upgrade to the kit was fruils late type panther tracks and some scratch built handles. The kit comes with a decent photo etched ensemble and some fine DS tracks,
so the need for aftermarket kits is quite unnecessary for a good build.
Paint and weathering was done using Tamiya paints and mig pigments. After a neutral gray primer, a black pre-shade was used to add some depth on welds and joints.
The base coat is xf-60 dark yellow and the camouflage pattern are xf-64 red brown and xf-67 nato green. The track color is a mix of red brown and xf-56 metal gray.
Once the colors dried I sprayed a diluted mist of dark yellow to tone the ensemble. To seal the base colors, I've clear coated with x-22 clear gloss. Pin wash was done with Pebeo oil colors and odorless mineral spirit. The chipping was accomplished with acrylics and a good old number two lead pencil.
Then came a flat coat and a fine mist of diluted xf-57 buff and another flat coat. At last, some highlights on metal parts with graphite…and voila!
This kit was great fun and I must thank the Armorama community for support and insight all through the build, because the information about that particular vehicle is very scarce.

Thank you guys! much apreciated comming from 3 great builders.
Maybe i'll do the build feature. But first I got to be able to upload pics...since the sever changed, I can't. I'll be patient. Anyway I've got a half done diorama for this flakpanther so I got to finish that first!
Thanks again for the good words and motivation.
Phil.
