Marder III M

  • move
Ferdian Jahja shares with us some images of his Marder III M in 1/35th scale. The model presented here is the Tamiya offering of the Marder III M and it was built using only what was supplied in the box. The model was painted with a Base color of MrColor H71 with various other tones added, the model then had Vallejo Dark Wash and Vallejo Earth Mud Pigments added.

Very nice. A great looking kit from the box. I've had my eye on this since it came out. Some day...

Makes me want to take the last model I worked on and toss it into the garbage can. Nicely done, Jahja, nicely done. Ironmike

The colors, weathering & mud look spot on. Really well done! Do you have a crew and/or base in mind for this?

@LCB248 thanks, I really put a high opinion on this kit.

@obg153 thanks! They supplied a crew but i'm not a fan of figure painting so I skipped it. Diorama will come next though.

Ferd, Looks great! Especially coming from an older Tamiya kit. Right out of the Ostfront! Now, you have to build one of your namesakes: A Ferdinand! Keep 'em comning! Bill B.

Hey, didn't I just see you over at Small Scale Military asking about 1/32 armor?

Love the mud so much bro! But anyway, you may attach more mud at the inner side of the wheels since they still look too clean (represented by the first road wheel at the right side of the track in the main picture, also the return-roller at the left side). You may also make the cross insignia a little bit dirty, again, IMO Anyway, your overall work is so much impressive and very inspiring!! Congratulations and thanks for sharing... Cheers Garry
