M3A1 37MM Anti-tank Gun
- This anti-tank gun was sitting outside of the VFW (Veteran's of Foreign Wars) building there so I snap a few pictures of it. It was in really rough shape. I was told a few years back that gun had been moved to the new Powder River Historical Museum that was built there. I don't know if they refurbished it or not.

That's an interesting tread pattern-- looks more like the front tires on a civilian farm tractor than military tires-- or WWII era civilian tread patterns which this gun were more likely fitted with. Thanks to all for posting though-- I hope this gun was moved and refurbished -- it looks like it's in sad shape.

They more than likely are. That town is an out-in-the-middle-of-nowhere ranching/farming community. So they very well could be some type of tractor tire.
It was in bad shape. I took these pictures back in the early 90s. It was moved but I don't know if it was restored or not. The next time I drive through there I will have to stop and check.
You're welcome. Glad that you like the pictures.
