Introduction
Randy Harvey [HARV] brings us another fascinating unusual piece of military kit - a U.S. Cargo M-1950 Military Pack Saddle. With the surprising number of pack stock available to modelers, this reference should be very useful.U.S. Cargo M-1950 Pack Saddle
This is the U.S. Cargo M-1950 JQMD (Jeffersonville Quartermaster Depot or Jeffersonville Quartermaster Intermediate Depot) Military Pack Saddle. That's a mouthful but it allowed ground troops to saddle up their pack stock to carry equipment and supplies to places inaccessible to mechanized transport.Comments
Thank you for getting the pictures posted for me Fred. I appreciate it. Hopefully someone can get some use out of them.
Here is a picture of one of the pack saddles in use.
Thank you,
Randy

Well I have some good news in regards to the pack saddle. I have been trying to find a home for it for awhile now with no luck. I contacted Mr. Tom Rancor in Wasta, South Dakota and he owns and operates the Armed Forces Display & Gifts museum and he is going to take and display the pack saddle there. So I am very happy about that.
