Making a Waterfall

Make a basic base using Styrofoam.

Step 1
To make a basic valley form I used polyurethane foam.
Open the windows and let some fresh air in, because, it’s toxic.
This form will begin to harden in 4~5 hours.
Next, make a sharp valley form using a knife. It is easy to cut.
Coat G-COAT BASE(modeling paste) at left,right,front side.

Step 2
To make a rough valley texture, attach aluminum foil.
NOTE: You have to make a rough shape.

Step 3
Coat the valley surface with “mixed materials” coating. Here I used G-COAT SAND + gypsum powder + G-COAT LIQUID. This makes a land surface by G-COAT Earth.

Step 4
Next, there are many heavy stone & fragment in valley.
So, make a heavy stone. Use aluminum foil & real small rocks & pebbles.

Step 5
To finish making a heavy stone you need to coat it with “mixed material” (G-COAT SAND + G-COAT LIQUID + gypsum powder).
After making a “mixed material”, coat the aluminum foil surface with it by dipping in the tray. Once this is dry paint land color.

Step 6
Next step is to make grass. I use a “grass.sprinkle” grass product, TECHSTAR medium grass.
You just sprinkle the grass. There is no need to use a bonding (glue) agent first. After you sprinkle, use G-COAT SPRAY to attach grass. I used Real Shrubs,dioramamaterials product. Make many shrubs and grass. I used corn-silk & vinyl shrubs.

Step 7
You can make a waterfall effect. First of all, prepare clear thin plastic paper.

Step 8
Make a shape like waterfall out of the plastic paper.

Step 9
Next, you have to use "G-COAT WATER for Wave" material.
You can buy this material from Treemodel website , SOUTH KOREA. Coat "G-COAT WATER for Wave" on the plastic paper. I mixed with brown color XF-64 & G-COAT WATER for Wave. G-COAT WATER for Wave is gel type of medium. Don't rely on gravity to transform the shape. To express color,you can mix with Enamel Paint.No acryl paint, No Lacquer Paint.

Step 10
Last step is making white foam.
It will begin to harden in 3~6 hours.Set in 12~24 hours. Use paint brush. I mixed with white color XF-2 & G-COAT WATER for Wave. Then coat it. When you coat it, make a flowing of water.

Finished

Then you can make a waterfall.
