Hi all.
while taking an enforced break from my King Tiger project (waiting on P/E and P/E bendy tool to arrive), I decided to start work on my leFH18 that I'll be using for a dio I'm planning. I planning on an Afrika dio with an Sd.Kfz.11 and the howitzer.
Sub assemblies have been completed in preperation for painting.
Still the odd bit of filling and cleanup to be done but it's nearly there.
I have to say, this is my first AFV Club kit and I love it, except of the tiny parts attached to 'tree stump sized' sprue.
Anyway, here's what I've done so far...
Cheers,
Jurgen.

Looking forward to seeing it with a coat of paint on it. Any figs to go with this one?

Hi all,
thanks for the comments.
Hi Neil. This article I found was of great help!!!
http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/vehicles/afvclub/afv35050con.htm
Other points of note are:
- filling is required after joinig parts A1 and A2. This is rather difficult and you don't have much room to play with when trying to sand it smooth. You'll see what I mean when you do it.
-as mentioned in the article, parts B10 and B12 required required some trimming and filling when doing the lower chassis to get it to fit right.
Other than that, it's fairly straight forward.
As for the dio, it'll be nothing too elaborate. Just something to show the kits off. Haven't decided on whether I'll include any figures yet.
Again, thanks all for looking and the comments.
-Jurgen.

Because the weather is too cool to start painting, I've decided to start work on the Sd.Kfz.11.
- The AFV Club Sd.Kfz.11
- Aber Vol 1 Basic Set
- Aber Vol 2 Additional Set (Engine overlay)

Sounds like an excellent combination Jurgen, the howitzer is a beauty all by itself.
