Some interesting kits there, MiniArt are great at doing something new with their releases. The Germans with fuel drums is a well thought out and interesting set.

Thanks for the heads up Jim.

I think the last set, loading fuel drums, has great potential, not just at the task shown within a diorama.

They could just as easily be pulling or pushing heavy boxes off of a lorry, general loading and unloading from vehicles, tanks etc.

With slight modification I could even see them behind a soft skin vehicle helping to push it out of mud or a ditch.

I'd probably change some of the heads for excellent Hornet ones just to get a variation in shape/look etc. They do look a bit alike, but still very good nonetheless.

They remind me of Tank brand of resin figures, maybe they are mastered by the same sculptor.

Good to see these variations from Miniart and Masterbox.

I'm really impressed with the quality of these figures from what I have seen on-line. I have a couple on order at the LHS. WRG to the figures shown here, I think they hav a lot of potential and think the Germans in particular with some minor converting, will make great PoWs

From what I can see in the photos, these figures look excellent! Dragon beware! They are also very useful "generic" sets, so can be used in any number of different dioramas. I particularly like the quilted jackets on the Russians (even though they're not my usual fare), & it looks like the SNCO supervising the German fuel drum loaders is a "Spiess" complete with cuff rings, the first time this has been specifically modelled in styrene to my knowledge. ("Der Spiess" - meaning "pike" - was German army slang for the senior NCO in a unit, like a CSM or RSM in the British army, or Top Sgt in the US. It dates back to the horse & musket days, when sergeants were used as file closers in battle, & used their pikes to dress the lines).

Some excellent looking figures, the German Artillery riders will fit in a multitude of scenes and vehicles and the fue drum guys are a interesting set too.

Really impressive stuff but is there anything modern on the drawing board from this company because I for 1 would welcome it.

Sorry Mike, but no. I'm in regular contact with them and the company's philosphy is, at the moment at least, to concentrate exclusively on WWII subjects. Not to say that further down the line the COULDN'T, but don't expect any change in their release policy anytime soon...

Well Jim the weather´s gonna be a big change but as for everything else,I´m just glad to be back because I did live in (A /La) Coruña for seven years before going out there. By the way the chorizos we get are from Sober in Lugo made by the wifes uncle who rears a few pigs for us, (makes an absolutely splendid wine as well). It counts for something when one is eating meat & you know what it has been fed for every day of its life. What more could a man want ? Maybe an Accurate Armour Land Rover!
