Thanks much and hopefully you won't get burned out by all the work here on top of your...err... other life?

There's another life outside of modelling? The horror!

Thanks for the kind words Jim and Frank. It's great to be part of the outstanding staff team here that keeps the site running for the benefit of the members and model community at large.

Okay okay.... enough about Bill...

Now about this contest. Who out there is working on some amazing entry to win the Sherman book?

Seriously though I should remind everyone that show reports are also a great read and do qualify for the "etc." mentioned in Bill's rules. I just had this thought as I am preparing to go off to IPMS Nationals in a few days. So if you attend a modeling show consider taking some photos and writing about your experience!

Cheers,
Jim

A gentle reminder that there are only 5 weeks remaining in the Competition. The rules require that the article be published up on the Homepage before Sept. 30th to qualify, so please bear that in mind for your submissions and allow time for editing and publication (and also completion of whatever project you've got going!) to get your submission in.

We are heading down the home-stretch now and have had some great articles submitted! Still not too late for you to finish up a WIP project, convert a blog into an article, write-up/document your favorite technique, or submit a show report for inclusion in the contest. As we get closer to the end of the month, more details will be provided on how the voting and winner selection will be done and prizes awarded. Please refer to the original post in this thread for the Grand Prize and 1st-3rd prizes, some great opportunities are available but only if you submit!

21 days remain for the contest, and while that may sound deceptive, it will be gone before you know it! Still time to finish up a write-up and send it in for publication.

Thanks to everyone who submitted articles for the Best Featured Competition! The list of articles is an impressive one, there are 11 Feature articles that are eligible for consideration under this competition. Due to technical difficulties/limitations, we were unable to come up with a satisfactory user-based voting system that would work so we are amending the award rules slightly to reflect this. The First-Third prizes will now be awarded the same as the Grand Prize by means of a judging panel who will select the Top 4 articles submitted. Those results are expected in the coming weeks and we will announce the winners here. We had some excellent submissions on a wide-range of subjects, as a recap and in case you missed some of them, here are the articles that are being considered:
