Ok people let me be clear on this.....

I`m not attacking anybody in any way. Most of the people here on the board I consider as friends. I respect everybodies meaning here but for that I expect that everybody does that back.
But as we live in a some sort of democratic world I`m allowed to give my meaning but also to argument somebodies other meanings. And of course that is not always funny and of course it can become a spiritive conversation but that`s all part of the game.
What I have learned is that some things aren`t written down as a rule and that big exceptions happen very often

Well Andrew let`s shake hands on this subject and let`s stop with it or else we get some serious arguements with Anders because we are polluting the poor man thread #:-)

Hola!

I think ya'll are taking this a bit serious Sure chipping etc is over done on models, I do it mainly because it looks cool and adds to the effect of the model in whole. If we did everything like they are/were in real life most models would be borning. At the same time, a chip of 1" would be .02857" or 0.07cm in 1/35th scale, would not show up very well on our beloved models so it's hard not to make them out of scale.

I agree with Sniper on his points, your right on!

As for poluting my thread, lol! I think this became a good discussion with valid points from everybody. I think the main line would be that it's up to each induvidual to decide how he/she likes to portray his/her models. Personally I prefer a chipped and wore vehicle over a prestine finished one. Even if the chips are overdone and out of scale

I enjoy all of the discussion, it lets everyone hear new opinions and theories. Sniper, you have a point about the whole constructive criticism idea, it has been replaced by "Nice Job" or "Great work". This isn't bad but does make people think twice before critiquing.
Anyway, sorry for poluting your thread Anders.
See you in the chat room FAUST.

Andrew

Well done Anders. Lovely model. Love the colour you have achieved on the tracks, and with the dust as well is very convincing. Inside the gun mount is very well done as well. I would be proud if this was my model.

I have to agree with both Faust and Oberst on their points, and both are valid. But at the end of the day ...... it will always come back to the same old arguement ...... exact replication or artistic license. For me, I drift between both and more to the later. Nothing wrong with a bit of debate ...... and its all for the greater good!
