Great one! I'll just stop by a railroad modelling store after work today! Even thought it seems to be quite expensive if I just have a look to the "official" german distrbuters websites... but its a must have for some of my models! thanks keith!

Hi Keith. Really like what you´ve done so far. Great attention to detail .. and eventhough I know very little about modern armor ..I enjoyed reading through the thread so far. Great tosee you back building again.

What happened to Arnhem dio .... the house and bridge were almost completely built the last time I saw it. That one was shaping up a treat also!

Thanks for that. I had come across that in my travels, but just wasn't sure whether there would be an appropriate scale. Knowing my luck this will be one of the few Plastruct products my LHS lacks.

Keith, Looks great thus far. One comment on the cargo hatch for the M113. The chain to open the hatch is molded in the wrong position. It should be more towards the other end of the hatch. Intails cutting it off and adding scratch item to replace the molded on ones. Pretty minor nit-nat thing, but thought you'd like to know. Otherwise, pretty impressive work. Looking forward to seeing it completed. "Q"

The M113 continues with the beginning of the painting, done with Tamiya Acrylics and the start of the weathering.

The figures are from a couple of the warrior sets, with new arms and heads, painted with acrylics (I'm still not quite sure of them). The antennas are a carbon fibre rod by accurate armour.

I still have all the storage to do, and a couple of figures to finish it of plus the weathering once it goes onto the base.

cheers

Looks like it is coming along great. Couple things to think about though. The X bumper number doesn't look right to me. The right side is for Company and vehicle #. Usually, it would be an A, B, C, D etc. followed by the #. X is usually BDE symbol and is not used for the Co designated. Secondly, the side CIPs look way too lung. I'm assuming they are from Verlinden. If so, they are definitely too long. The CIPs are almost square. Check the feature section for a good article on them. Also, the ones in the Tamiya kit are the correct size. Also, 1-64AR used a the 50-54 Bn ID #. It is usuallya 2-digit #, not 1.

Good work so far. Keep it up.

Looking good Keith. I like how the figures turned out. The tracks are really nice too.

Thanks for the comments Matt, the tracks are Model Kastern and bit of a pain to put together but worth it in the end.

Gino, again thanks for the information, i had been told that the X-67 was a designation for the master Sargent's vehicle, looks again that i should have checked the info out again. I'm going to replace the CIP panels i think although it may be a little bit of a pain to remove them. I am stuck with the rear single digit number unless i repaint, but I'll remember as drop you a PM next time before i attempt them

again thanks for all the help guys, its going to cosy me a small fortune with all the drinks i now owe!!

cheers

Keith, did you ever finish this dio?

I happened across this thread again while doing some research for a future 3-15 IN Brad I am planning. I had forgotten about this one.
