I'm working on the SP Designs BMP1U 2000 turret and have a question about the rear turret plate.
The kit part has a rounded section, like half a scuba tank, protruding from the rear of the turret plate, below the level of the smoke grenade launchers.

A google image search brings up images of theACE kit which shares this fitting, but the images of the real thing within the ACE gallery do not seem to show this fitting.

As you can see, the opened access hatch does not have a void. I guess it is possible that the buldge is there on the other side of the opened door, but I cant tell.
Thoughts?

watch this thread on Armorama. If any pictures/info are to be had, it will show up there. I found nothing definative looking through my sources. It looks like the ACE pictures are of the prototype in storage. Things may have changed going into limited production.
