:-) A little while ago I posted pics of a F14 that I had boxed up and put away, some time ago. These are a couple of cars I had put away at the same time. They are again early efforts and you can see a lot wrong with them, but they do look pretty cool. I remember being quite pleased with the decals, some of them are pretty complicated, the circuit board on the blue Merc is all decals. This was all before I knew anything about setting solutions and Klear. I'd quite like to have a go at a show room or custom car. I have a Hurst Olds that I'm now thinking of doing with a Tamiya clear red over antique bronze, rather than the kit scheme of white with gold trim. :-)
Anyway, these are for Tim.

Amazing job on the cars. The diversity you show is mind boggling!!! I do have a question though. Do you have any ships that you can rediscover?? If so I would love to see how they look.
Again truely amazing work. I can hope to do half as good a job at this point of my building career.

Why don't we have a car section? Or do so few of us build them. LOve the race cars, I've done a few of the classic Porsches, Ferraris and GT 40's from the late 60's and 70's

Jim has said no in the past, and since it's his site. . . Actually it makes sense, this is a military site and race cars have absolutely no military value hehehe.

Oh come now, Tim... I'd love to see a dio of a pro street blown Hemi 'Cuda in speed trials against a 120mm APFSDS round... #:-)

You just have to "juke" the subject matter a little bit. I built a PT Cruiser, painted it to look like a WW2 era US Army staff car. I think it may be in the features section still. I also have a NASCAR kit that I plan on doing in Desert Storm markings, finally picked up a trailer for it. It'll be hauled around by a HMMWV.

None to re-discover but I do have a 1/700 HMS Sheffield that I was considering doing for the ship Campaign. Never built a ship before :-)

Errrrr, I'm not in competition with Tim. I hope nobody else thinks I'm trying to compete?
Tim
I don't believe that for one minute :-)
Didn't think about that, ooooops?
So do I need to re-paint these in desert camo

See for yourself (my digicam takes crappy pics, sorry):
My second model after getting back into the hobby about 2 years ago (my favorite kit of all time, btw, I love Mini Coopers) :
Built about 8 months ago:
Built in February (in 2 days, the hood looks chipped in the pic but it's not in real life):
Almost finished. Got the CF decals for the hood in yesterday.
I wouldn't sweat it, You are a good Armorama contributer. I think a quick car post would be acceptable as long as we don't make a habit of it.

I'm sure Jim doesn't mind a few car posts. Just as long as there's no campaigns that deal with them.
I believe he said that cars fall outside of the site's mission to serve all areas of modeling dealing with armored subjects.
Tim, I am impressed with the autos you've posted. :-)

I have a Subura WRX and a Puegoet sitting on the shelf, but I don't have enough skill to tackle these yet.

Hey Tim-Too Good-To-Look-At-My JP,
They are awesome cars, I like the one in Maloon with the chrome, looked very gangster, I should get a car like that....
I never seen a car model with all the PE in close, so if you could get some more close shot of the cars, will be great.
Lovely Tim. I meant the cars. #:-)

Mal: I don't happen to like BRG :-) I do like sparkly purple, however.
Dave: All of those are OOB. No PE.

:-) Tim,
Have you seen Alclads irridecant colours, pretty damn cool, you would like them :-)
I suppose you you have to be British to appreciate BRG Some cars only look good in BRG, some cars have to be in BRG to be creditable If your a true Brit
I do understand your sentiments :-)

Mal: I've seen the iridescents from Alclad and they are nice. I'm not a big fan of the iridescent colors, though. On models especially, it looks out of scale to me, but that could be because I don't really like them on 1:1 either. The Jade/Gold they have isn't bad, though. BRG isn't a bad color, and I agree some cars have to be that color or it's just not right. I'm a much bigger fan of Italian Red, and those sexy Ferrari's that come wrapped in it.

I personally would love to see what you could do to that Sheffield you got. I have a feeling that the skills you posess that you would do her justice and more.
It would be a pleasure to have you join the campaign and show off your modelling prowess on her Anyone second this thought??

Thanks for the vote of confidence, I maight just do it. I'd have to ditch one of my other group builds though. I'm not sure about doing it justice though, I know nothing about weathering ships. I have asked on the ship board about colours for her, but I didn't have them and my out of work situation prevents me from buying any. Suppose I could mix 'em. I'll take another look at the campaign. :-)

Guys,
Finally, I found someone who build cars. Here are my collections and they are all from Tamiya. I built them all out of box, no after market add-on.
