Hi I have just sprayed a primer on my turret after adding many little details... Only now it has highlighted some flaws I have to touch up on the actual cast turret surface... If anyone can spot anything I have missed, don't hesitate to let me know!

Cheers

Gday David
Took me a while to find it, but I based the pistol port work on a pic from usarmymodels...

Thanks lads
This is on hiatus at the moment, but I have since removed the right edge of the rotor shield to match the left. I was unaware that this was erroneous in the kit version! I have also added some flatter areas of casting here and there, to add to the randomness of the turret surface.
Keep you posted!
Cheers

Hi Mike Kevin and Goran
Thanks for the kind words.
Goran, for the cast surface, I treated it with a coat of Mr. Surfacer 500. This is the thickest of the range, and can be 'stippled' on with an old brush, and then lightly sanded later to get the result of Sherman casting, which is moreso sunken pits than raised casting. If you cannot get your hands on Mr. Surfacer, I have had sucess with Revell contact cement (with the needle applicator) rubbed on with my finger, although with both, they can go 'stringy' during application. But you just need to stop for a while until it dries, where you can gently sand the unwanted 'string' off. Because of the colour of Mr. Surfacer (white) it can be hard to tell how effective your work is until everything is blended together with an undercoat/primer...
Hope this helps some!
Cheers

Thanks Honeycut!
Yeah, I can't get Mr. Surfacer so i give a try with Revell cement.
