Do you mean the standard M31 ARV which was referred to in British service as the Grant ARV Mark I or the turretless British conversion?

It's really difficult finding references for this ARV as it doesn't appear to have gone into service, the only real coverage was in the Airfix guide to modelling the Lee/Grant series, which is long out of print. I think the bins at the rear end are for spare track links, but it's been ages since I read through the Airfix book and I won't be able to look again for a couple of weeks.
