Here is my latest project , early tiger (italeri kit), i know that it is probably not historically correct with the camo colour, but what the hell
I have painted it in tamiya yellow then tone it down with a buff colour . I have then rolled out some blu tac to get the camo shape i desire
The next step was flat brown, once dry i will then tone the brown down using yellow for the second coat
apologies foe the naff pics.

here is the next step, i painted the other colour field green and have lightened it with yellow.
at the momment it is too in your face with the colurs, so i will be toning the tank down with a filter and then a tone down with a buff colour

half way there now, equipment added and transfers. next step is to finish off the toning down, then a oil wash and a dry brush.

Gary -
Looking great! Nice job with the camo, very unique scheme, like the way you did the colors and broke it up with the dark yellow. Looking forward to the updates. Thanks for sharing.

Some folks won't like the camo because it might not be totally accurate, but call it artistic license. It looks very good, can't wait to see when it is done.

To be Honest I like the build of what I can see.
But the Camo is not my cup of tea.
I guess I am a more Conservative Camo dude.
Good overall.

I like what you've got so far. I don't know about the historical "accuracy" of the camo scheme, but I like the quality of your work. I'm looking forward to seeing it finished. Keep 'em coming.
Cheers

In the first pics I was thinking, 'i'm not going to like this scheme' however, I love the final product and think it looks great, well done mate.
While people may go on about historical accuracy (myself included) providing you use the correct colours (or as near as we modellers ever can) I think you can have free reign with the pattern to an extent, as the crews of the tanks did themselves, therefore meaning that anything we can think of, they probably did too. Of course it is great to have photographs etc. to support a paint scheme, but I wouldn't lose any sleep over it if you're happy with it.
Good work, look forward to seeing the finished piece!
James
