hi guys, here is my recent project..the flak 37 by dragon. basically the same as the flak 36..except for few upgrades..like the gauges, gun shields. and other items. i'm planning to build this in a transport mode. the kit tires have weight bulges and in one piece mold. the kit also has PE parts for detailings...here are some WIP pictures...

Looks great so far nice clean build.
Can't wait to see the paint applied.
So is that some kind of battery connector you have it on?

hi jeff, yes they're 'old school' battery connectors..we still use them in our shop and they're recycable. i use the connectors for weights to level on tank wheels and fixing suspension arms..

Nice work. Tell me ... how did you airbrush it while assembled and get full coverage? I'm kinda new to airbrushing, so any input is appreciated. The only thing I can think of is several light coats from all possible angles.
thanks!
thanks!

thanks everyone...hi jason..the trick there was to spray the whole kit with matt black or regular black paint.. then second coating would be dark yellow or light sand color... i used tamiya acryllic paint in cans. the third thing to do is use the airbrush to adjust the colors. the images shown here were from my previous FLAK..wearing a german grey scheme. same procedure as what i'm working on.

comouflage pattern and weathering are combination of air and drybrush..plus pastel and graphite for detailing. on tyres..pastel and dirt can be applied. comments and suggestions are welcome. thanks again.

Looking Killer Buddy.
Great pics also.
Especially the Liquor and wimmens.
Nothing better to go along with modeling.
Nice clean work area also wish mine was that clean.
And as said don't drink too much of that Liquor or you might put on to many decals like I did on my M-10 years ago after thinking that it was alright.

Looking real good...like the camo pattern, it's very unique. Haven't seen that one before on an 88, but have seen on Jagdpanther's and 251's. Nicely done, makes it stand out rather than a plain ole German yellow or Gray scheme. Cool!
Thanks for sharing! Cheers!

Looks great, Ed. Very interesting camouflage.
I looked at your link, but could not find a picture of the 88mm with that camouflage. Could you post a picture of it in this tread?

painting tip...ever wonder what to do with empty tamiya cement bottles? i tried using the brush-applicator for detailing and it works nicely. it doesn't break easily even on different paint and thinner usage. i hope you find this usefull in your painting projects.
