Greetings all,
My Humber Scout Car semi-finished, still got stowage and final weathering to go. The vehicle represents one used by HQ Sqn, 19th Armd Regt, 2nd NZEF in Italy late 1944.
Overall a nice kit to build with no major problems.
cheers
David

Looks good David - Is the interior complete with the kit, or did you have to add an aftermarket conversion to it? Thanks for sharing!
Cheers!

Hi Tim,
Many thanks, the interior comes with the kit, it is basic but adequate. I did not follow the instructions for the interior colours but used reference material as a guide.
cheers
David

Hey David, looking good; great to see an 'Umber scout car and even better seeing it in Kiwi markings. One minor comment is that the 'eadlight an' 'orn are a little askew Looking forward to seeing the completed model.
PS: I take it that's the Bronco kitset? And where did the NZ markings come from?

Hi Jeff, It is amazing what you notice once it is finished. I blame the driver, too much
As for the markings, they did not come with the kit. They are a bit of a mixture:
The Div Sign (the fern) is Archer 35069 8th Army Formation Signs 1940-42.
The Tac Sign masked with masking tape to match the Div sign and painted with Tamiya Flat Red and the “80” is Archer 35084W British WD Numbers.
For the Yellow diamond and “9” I used Stencilit ST1003 WWII British Stars Numbers and Symbols, painted with Vallejo Flat Yellow and the WD number was done with Eduard Express Mask, US Army Register XT037 painted with Vallejo Flat White.
N.B. Bronco's Staghound is also missing NZ markings, but apart from that it looks a good kit.
But good news on the NZ markings front, BISON DECALS are planning to release four sets of NZ markings . Things are looking up, i'm just waiting for Dragon to release a 3 in 1 Bob Semple
cheers

Great work on those markings David (or is it Baldrick???) When I have the time (and money) I'm gonna have to lay my paws on a Bronco Humber. Personally I really enjoy building the smaller wheeled vehicles and, with all these new British armoured cars...Yeeehaaa!!!
Keep hoping for that Dragon Bob Semple - maybe a 'What If' with a 17 pdr a/t gun, add on armour and Rolls-Royce Meteor engine?

Hi David,
Excellent work, looking really good. Plus points for the NZ markings, nice to see some Commonwealth vehicles.
Cheers
