I know the yellow looks a bit in your face, but it will be toned down. The purple is making fuild. (First time using this stuff)
This will be a two toned (green) camo scheme
The it is the italeri one
next step is the OD green

Gday Gaz
I don't know much about USMC Shermans so I can't comment on accuracy of paint scheme etc. Got any more pics close up? Hard to be helpful from this distance!
What is the purple stuff? Masking fluid?
Cheers

this sure looks like a new technique to me. I am really curious to see the results! Always had a soft spot for the Sherman. Let's see how you progress, o.k.?

Interesting technique for the masking. Am going to take a crack at using blu-tak for my next camo job, see how that works.
Curious, are you going to paint the lower hull and running gear a little different? Looking forward to your progress and paint results. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers!
Tim

The build so far.
The yellow has been toned down with a very diluted green.
I think that if i was going to do another camo scheme simmular, i would not use the masking fuild technique just blu tac.

Keep taking your photos outdoors, they look much better. Haven't seen many Shermans in this camo, good work so far!

Looks good, Gary. I was a little surprised about the first pictures as the Sherman seemed to be painted in "Racing yellow" The outdoor photos are much better. Interesting about the maskol used to create the camouflage pattern - nice result.
Dont forget to give those decals and mat varnish coat to tie them in with the rest of the tank. Now they are a bit on the shiny side.
Looks good - looking forward to see more
