Great work... Wonderfull weathering, realistic snow... I like the "rope around the legs" effect; not only the dio is awesome but it also tells a story. What did you do for weathering?

Now do you have some more pics of your models? You got me interested there...

Thanks for the positive comments, fellows!

The snow is Micro Ballons on a base made of Celluclay. The base were painted white and then I painted on Acrylic medium Gel and sprinkled on the Micro Ballons. Working in areas of about 10x10cm, one a time. This had to be repeated a few times to get the desired thickness and coverage.

The weathering was done painting rust and streaks of rust, mainly around the damaged areas as well as some black mixed with flesh for the soot.
Except for a black wash and drybrushing with light grey there were only some Raw Umber washes that were mainly applied on the lower parts of the legs.

Maki!

TOKE, the only thing I can think to suggest has to do with the rust streaks. They appear to run 'down' realtive to the regular stance to the vehicle, not to where the vehicle is now.

Yo Yoda!

Would you buy a story telling you about the never falling wind on Hoth?

Yes Im aware of that the streaks would look so much better if the would be diagonal to the ground. Perhaps this happend as I painted the walker befrore attaching it to the base without giving the tilting a second thought.
