hello everybody
this is my first post to armorama and i would love some constructive feedback.basically the base was painted with humbrol enamel's and mig oils and the figures are painted with vellejo acrylics.this is the first time i have attempted modelling figures and have become hooked on them.
thanks for looking and thanks to the people who helped me through the figures forum.

Neil -

Fantastic job! Looks great, both the figures and the groundwork are awesome. Like the tones and shading / shadows of the boulders, how did you do that? Are the bigger rocks real, or was this a resin base that you had to paint and weather appropriately?

Very nice! Cheers!

thank's to the both of you for the comments.this truely is my first attempt at figuers.the ground work and the figuer in the first three pictures are from the verlinden resin kit called smoke'm out afganistan(2323) and the soldier in the fourth pic is from blast models.for the ground and rocks i used tamiya xf-52 flat earth all over then picked out some of the rocks using humbrol enamels(matt 83,84,29,72 & 121). i let that dry over night then gave it an oil wash of mig's excellant 'wash brown' i did the same, again left it over night.the i started the dry brushing using lighter shades until i finished with a light brush of pure white.the matted the whole base down with polly scale matt varnish.
thanks again for your interest
neil.

The base looks great. I like the Blast figure more than the Verlinden one.
Well done
