Looking good so far Dmitry. I know the tracks appear to be unnecessary work, but they do look great when assembled! Ive never built any what-ifs before, but this does appeal to me. I like the box top version though .. the little turret looks somehat out of place ... the flat top looks sleeker and meaner! Cant wait to see this painted up!

After reading this thread I have lost my excitement for this kit. But it is available at e-Hobbyland for $31. Had great service from this dealer and he has flat shipping of $7.95 for as many kits as you want.

Well I am done with contruction. Next is a bath, primer, and paint. What paint scheme to choose? I had a temptation to just post the build kit on EBay and get my money back, but I think I'll finish it after all the effort.

What did you do to texture the front/side/rear plates?

It was done with Mr. Surfacer. Sanded with fine sandpaper.

Looks good, Dmitry. I am looking forward to building mine - especially after getting a few tricks from you how to overcome some of the difficulties in the kit.

Thanks for sharing

Thank you guys. I hope to get some paint on it this weekend. I am dreading painting the one piece wheels and tracks that are glued to the hull. Always hard to get the paint in the tight spots. I think I will go for a tri color scheme of some kind with minimal weathering.

I have to admit that I'm not all that interested in "what-if" kits, but this model looks good; chunky and purposeful. The build is coming along nicely, and I can't wait to see what it looks like with some paint, and a little bit of Dmitry weathering.
