Hi guys!
This is an early (prototype?) version of the King Tiger. It was built as part of a challenge between me and some of my friends, who tend to never finish our kits :-) so it's really a speed built primarily for the fun of it.
The camouflage cheme and markings are fictional, but my idea was that it should look as if it perhaps was involved in the Normandy invasion theatre. Kit was built straight out-of-the-box, painted with Vallejo, Humbrol and oil colours, weathered with pigment powders, washes and chipping. The (not so well difined) figure is from MIG.
Any feedback welcome!

too bad that the tracks are so disfigured...other than the gap between undercarriage part and upper(metal?) chassis, its quite good...

Thanks for your kind feedback Matija!
Yeah, those dreaded "rubber" tracks are not funny... I saw the weird sag after taking the photos, and they're now corrected.
As for the kit makers choice of metal body (both upper and lower hull parts), it's not a very good one! in my opinion it didn't add to the kit in any way, and the fit is really lousy.
But as explained above, this was primarily a fast build just to get something done, and I put most of the energy on having fun with the painting. Quite a different experience to paint in this small scale!

Great build with a lot of good details. Especially considering the scale.
