Hey there everyone.

Being a complete novice to soviet armour, i thought i'd buy something cheap&looked fairly decent.
The Tamiya T-62A is only a tenner, but i'm guessing this kits riddled with faults.

How bad a kit is it?

Thanks.

It's pretty bad. The hull dimensions are off, the turret is badly misshapen, there is no PE or individual tracks, etc. In true Tamiya style you'll find the molding will be well done and the kit goes together very easily if you don't worry about the inaccuracies.

You can wait a few months and Trumpter's T-62 series will be out. Their kits tend to be pretty inexpensive, and you might find that paying twice as much for the new kit beats trying to fix the old one.

The Tamiya T-55, while far from perfect, is a lot better and is often available on ebay for $30 or so. I got one for $25 including shipping a while back.

Thanks for the input.

Considering I'm going to attach home made armour(Steel Sheets etc) onto the turret and skirts, i think i might buy one.

Although... that trumpeter sounds heck of a good.
