Greeting all,
my Humber Scout Car, finished as one used by Intercommunications Troop, HQ Squadron, 19th NZ Armd Regt, 2nd NZEF (who thinks of these unit titles), Italy late 1944.
I've added a bit of extra stowage. My first (public) attempt at a tarp using Milliput, I'm not totally happy with it, need more practice. I also gave it a light weathering with pastels.
cheers
David

Morning David,
Nice choice of subject. Which make of kit is this?
Overall the kit looks really good, I like the colour you've achieved on the vehicle. Not an expert on this vehicle by any means but a few observations. The top two open hatches seem to be very thick, this may or may not be correct, but I'm thinking they could have done with being thinned down a bit??
I think you tarp looks pretty good for a first although the rope needs painted to blend in. Have you tried using paper tissue dipped in white glue it produces a good effect, not so smooth.
The wheels look to have a seem down the middle, again I don't know if this is correct but I'd have taken a file to them and worn them down a bit, also the colour should be more grey than black and Italy was a dusty, muddy place so you could add a bit more there if you had a mind too.
I like the choice of colours for the cans on the back, nice touch and it's great to see another Commonwealth vehicle.
These are just thoughts, a grand looking build with a good finish, thanks for sharing.
