Well Jesper
You suprised me. I haven't followed this forum a few days and you made some nice progress! I was a little suspicious about your paint earth mix. But it turned out really well with the earthpaint airbrushed on later! the overspray is toned done a little to by some weathering! Nice. Somebody once told me to start painting light to dark colours to reduce overspray. Maybe a tip for the next time! You got it alright thanks to the weathering!

Thanks Roel, I appreciate it The weathering went ok, but it is never the same on any of my models as I do not have a "standard" approach. Next time I will try something different.

I can't even begin to describe how much I would appreciate that! Maybe you can PM me or email me?
Hi Emre
Here are the four pictures I came across on the internet. I am sure you can find more by a simple Google or Dogpile search.
Notice how the whole hull has been lowered in the last picture from Bosnia. Probably to better distribute the recoil of the mortar to the ground and save pressure on the suspension.
There are some interesting camouflage and markings as well. Hope this helps

Hi Jesper,
very nice little thing ! You've done a good job on it. Mine was from Zvezda and I appreciated it a lot more than the EE BTR-D I built later.
I agree with George about the "blurry" edges of the camo.
Emre, the 2S9 is based on a BTR-D chassis which is a lengthened BMD chassis.

Thanks for the comments, Oliver. I think I will use more hard edges next time.

Now the BMD-2 is finished. Overall I am quite satisfied with the result.
I cannot take pictures in daylight for quite some time, but beginning of December I will update the tread with more clear pictures in daylight.
Comments welcome
Very nice model.
Just one comment.
Maybe the green is too dark-comparing to the real vehicle color?

Thanks for the comment, Petros.
I think you might be right, although the green is lighter in real life than on my pictures. I used "Russian armour green" which seems to be a different shade and and also darker than the real vehicles in the pictures.
Thanks for the comments
