Hi David,
Your Stryker looks awesome! I am about to build one myself and your pictures are definitely of help!
The way you weathered your stryker is very realistic. Not too much and not too little, the perfect ammount I would say. Did you use the tires that came with the kit or did you buy the resin kind? Are the tires in the trumpeter kit also vynil ones, or are they plastic?
Great build and paint job! Everything looks great, also the stowage and backpacks look convincing!
Awesome stuff!
Greets,
Heli

Sadly the tyres are rubber/ vynel? and are the weak point of the kit you would do well to buy a resin set for it.
Thanks for the kind words.

Your paint job is extremely effective and subtle. At first glance, I thought it was a photo of a full size vehicle, which one might consider the acid test for any scale miniature. Well done!

I think you did an excellent job, really nice finish.
Have you considered entering it in the DMOM? They do not have to be Dragon kits!
Have you ever considered writing a Build Review of the kit and submitting it to the site? Those are called "slight" hints.

Thanks Gerald its probaly the best model ive painted to date.
There was alot of playing around to get the finish on it.
Dave.
I have entered a couple of the Dmom comps but didn't expext to get anywhere.
But now i feel i have come a long way with my building and painting so i might consider entering again. Thanks
As for the build review im afraid that this kit was one of those on off projects over about 3 months.
So i cant remember alot of the build.
Im more of a painter than a builder you see
Thanks
David

I love the finish and the weathering, looks very realistic but I'm not sure about the stowage on the roof. I don't see any tie downs straps or ropes used to secure the load, wouldn't everything fly off over the first bump?
