Well another Kitty.
Okay I guess this time of year brings out the Cats.
Comments all excepted.
Thanks for looking.

Now washed and all side brackets on and waiting for a primer coat as soon as I figure out which primer color to use.

Plus a first as using Vallejo paints this go round instead of Tamiya.

Well Yellow applied

The zimmerit looks great on your kit is that the Caviler zimmerit? Or Atak zimmerit?

Looking real nice, Jeff. Your paint work is beautiful, flawless. How did you find the Vallejo compared to Tamiya? Really like the color on the tracks, too. Keep us posted!

To answer Both James and Matt.
What I did was mix one drop of Beige Vallejo with one drop of Tamiya Dark yellow.
So I guess not total Vallejo but close and one thing I might add is use Vallejo thinner or water as it does not like Alcohol thinner, will gum up your airbrush fast,I speak with truth on that.

Thanks to all who replied .

A little more progress on the Kitty.

Yep forgot the Jack holders.

Drilled some spare links for pins to apply on the sides.

Have not touched the Cupola yet still waiting on the Periscopes and need to paint them all in one shot.
Tow cable made up and will be installed next.

No Dullcoat yet still playing with washes and stuff.

Going to try a Blue background next. ;-)

Thanks all.
This is a nice kit.

That is one sharp looking cat. I really like the natural light for the pics. Makes the model look even more real. Is this the Dragon Smart Kit? It can be hard to make a single colour paint scheme on a model interesting but yours looks great. Shows you did a clean job during construction.

Well 3 more pics a few more when able to get this light box up for 2 lights.

All spare tracks added and two cable and little chipping and some rust periscopes painted also on the next set of pictures.

Comments welcome good and bad only way to learn.

I have found that chipping on Zim tanks is a little harder as to the Zim

Thanks for looking

Done here are the rest.

Did you apply a wash to the zimmerit? If you did (and I think you did) it turned out perfect. Often when people apply a wash to the zimmerit it makes the zim very dark compared to the non zim parts. But yours still looks right. Also the fine scratches look great too. One of the nicest looking Panthers I have seen in a while.

Yes washed the whole thing Matt.
I might have been a modeler for many years but used to be okay before the Web to build OOB and paint it color recommended by Manufacture and be done with it.
This here is totally new to me really only about 6 models that I have tried to weather.
Will try to get better on the Pictures and the Weathering as I get more model weathering under the Belt.
Thanks again.

Well, that's a purrfect kitty, Jeff (corny, I know) I have not attempted zim yet, can you share a little detail on how you weathered it? And I really like the color of the tracks, nicely done.

Also, the blue background makes a big difference, coloring looks much more natural. Bravo on this build and looking forward to your next

First Thanks.
Just a bunch of washes not filters as the original paint seemed to light.
First was about 3 washes of Burnt Sienna to build up the color, then about 3 washes of Burnt Umber raw umber mixed then on last coat a wash of black added to final wash.
Tracks painted in cheap Iron oxide delta cream coat paint then a few washes of black pastels to into the cracks.

I found that if you make up a small piece of scrap plastic and paint it in the base coat can be used to try out the washes before hitting the model.
That is all.
Thanks again look forward to learning more as more models are built.

PS
I know one thing for sure will paint them darn Periscopes before I put them in place, just like the ones in the Cupola.
Plus I missed painting the darn one in the Turret.
Marvelous what the camera can see that the eye does not.
Which are Fine molds as dragon does not give any.
