I was finally able to find a EE SU-152. I have just a couple of simple questions on it. I have not been able to find very good photos of one but I do know they were based off the KV-1S hull. Are the wheels on the EE kit the correct "lighten" one? Should the tracks be the one with a horn on every link or the ones with horns on every other one? I have the Royal update set for this but I can not find enough photos to tell for sure. Thanks.

wanagun, the road wheels will have to do. From what I have heard on the forums there are not any replacements, and the KV1S wheels are unique to that chassis. I found one picture of a SU152 with track horns on almost every link. I say almost because there is only the length from front to back return rollers visible, and there is one link with no horn but the rest of the track is covered by the crew. The rest of the pictures, that are clear enough to show the track, have a horn on every other link.

The kit wheels are correct, though they need some cleaning up. The tracks were the narrow type adopted for the KV-1S series and later used on the Stalin (which means you cannot use the spare set from a Trumpeter KV-1 kit, but you may be able to use the spare set from the new Tamiya IS-2 Stalin). The track could be all solid links with the centerguides on every link, but more common was the split link type, which alternated a full link with centerguide with a pair of split links (which were divided where the centerguide would ordinarily go). The kit track depicts this type (though detail is poor and the vinyl is stiff). The new Tamiya Stalin kit also depicts this version. Model Kasten offers this type as the Stalin Type B track.
