i enjoyed this build and gave it to my dad for Christmas.

Looks good enough, given the quality of the pictures. Try using less white in the background. The camera has a difficult time with dark subjects in front of a bright white backdrop. Medium blue, gray, even black will work better.
Als, especially since this was a presentation, before dofoing a lot of work on the groundwork, paint or stain your base then wrap the edges in masking tape. You have some very unsightly glue stains pouruing down the side, particularly in the last picture.

I agree with Al.
A diorama needs some sort of border and generally clear glass bases do not work so well.Try using a picture frame as a diorama base next time. These are probably the best and easiest things to use as a base. Cheap and no painting required.
Other than that, the mud looks fantastic and although out of scale, the tree is well made.
