I just picked this kit up from the LHS, along with the tamiya t-62. I know about the problems the t-62 has, but i'm a complete novice on soviet armour, So does the bmp-2 have any real issues?
Cheers for any help.
Scott.

The Revell BMP 2 is a copy of the DML kit. There are a few issues with the kit, but its a fair representation of the BMP-2.
Issues...
1.) the hull rear top hatches are at a wrong angle and some periscopes are out of place.
2.) the drivers hatch is too low - it should be raised flush with the hull top, an easy fix.
3.) the wheels don't have rear detail are from their BMP-1 kit.
There are numerous detail sets for the kit.
SP designs has a nice replacement upper hull that fixes the 1 & 2 issues.
Replacement barrel from Modelpoint (Beauuuutiful!)
Wheels and track from Miniarm or Masterclub.
You could wait for the Miniarm full resin kit sometime this year

Isn't it a re-box of the Italeri kit?

Even worse, it's re pack of Zvezda molding of DML forms, oi. Issues? wrong turret shape, odd road wheels and sprockets to note the few. BTW, how is decal sheet?
