Is the barrel included in the conversion kit? Is it made by Real Model or is it from another source? Either way it looks wonderful.
One more question. What is the large box on the back for? Is it simply for stowing equipment? A large portable beer keg maybe?

The box is simply a storage box.....they are not mounted in Afghanistan...they interfere with observation and fields of fire for the GIB...Guy In Back.

Well there you go...thanks fro posting the photo.
The LAV III version in your photo is the Command and Control LAV III....that is why the metal frames for the command post tent are attached to the right side.
That LAV III might not deploy out of the camp area too much.
I think including the stowage box is a very good idea....give the modeller the option to use it or not.

Jason you are right the LAVS do not have the admin bin on them when they are in afghan they do get issued with it though. that lav in the pic is in Kabul and probably never leaves camp or just got there you can tell by how green it is. The admin bin should definatly be a part of the set because hey its a part of the vehicle, a nice inclusion would be a stretcher with 64 pattern rucks, since thats generally what we put in place of the admin bin

we had them in both places but we take them off so as to not block the field of view of the air sentries.
