looking like a real plane now! I just picked up a Hasegawa armament set with smart bombs as the kit provided ones seem kind of lacking. The drop tank and targeting pod are next to be painted, then it's time for the LGB's and Sidewinders. And, yes that puny table is what I build my models on :-)

of course, I couldn't resist picking up the 2-seater version

enjoy

Pony, awesome looking Hornet.

I have a question for you.

I have my phantom's canopies open, but I have a little dilema here, how do I masking the cockpit? so the paint won't get into the cockpit?

I used small strips of masking tape to cover mine. Let me see if I can find a picture of it masked up

Looking great Pony, the weapons set should add even more to the look of that gorgeous super bug. Keep up the great work you are doing that kit the justice it deserves.
Oh I have used the masking tape to mask canapies also, but sometimes I have pulled a seat or two loose in the past.(clumsy me ), but I have found that if you stuff small pieces of tissue carefully in the cracks and openings in the cockpit it works also and no adhesive to pull on things. Have you used this also??

well, older kits I built awhile back are in storage. I just recently started building again after a 2 year break. The Super Bug is my 2nd kit back. My 1st kit back was a Hasegawa 1/48 F-16CJ that resides on top of my stereo speaker in my entertainment center. Oh, I forgot to mention, the Intruder arrived today :-)

thanks all for the compliments

on the larger openings, I've also used paper towel or tissue to help support the masking tape. Recently I've switched to a low tack tape for masking so not to pull anything apart (yup, done that before too)
