Here are some pictures of my little SAS Desert Jeep. The Jeep is from Tamiya with the Hauler etch set where needed. All the other details are scratch.
The paint is based on what some of the first jeeps were believed to have been painted. Quite colourful actually. I used Ian Sadlers 1:1 Jeep as an example for painting.
I will add a aircraft .50 cal to the passenger side, twin Vickers on the pedestal mount in between the crew and a single vickers on the front left fender.
The .50 is a combo of a unknown resin company with a Karaya barrel jacket from their .30cal set, and the vickers guns come from Griffon models.
Tons more to do including the filters, chipping and all the stowage.
Comments welcomed and appreciated.
Sean

VERY NICE!
A NICE TOUCH YOU COULD ADD AT THE END IS PERHAPS A TARP. YOU CAN EITHER HAVE IT COVERING STOWAGE IN THE FRONT OR REAR OR RACKED BACK. TAMIYA ORANGE TWO PART PUTTY IS WHAT I PREFER. IF YOU BUY AN INK PRESS (HAND HELD SIZE FROM A DEPARTMENT STORE) YOU CAN DOWSE IT WITH TALC AND ROLL IT OUT PAPER THIN. THEN YOU CAN CUT IT TO SIZE AND IT WILL HARDEN IN ABOUT THIRTY MINUTES.
IT WILL DRAPE DOWN THE SIDES AND LOOK COMPLETELY NATURAL.
YOU CAN ALSO MAKE FANTASTIC SANDBAGS WITH THE SAME PUTTY.
BEST REGARDS AND GOOD LUCK! ROBERT
