I'm not familiar with the weapon but your construction and scratchbuilding skills are great.

Nice work, but are you aware that there is already a resin kit for this gun on the market?
It's made by Azimut of France and it costs around 50 Euros. These guys are very good, you'll have to deal with some tough competition. Good luck!

It was basically the Russian 88, just slightly below the performance of its German counterpart, but not by much. The T-34/85 gun was derived from this weapon. The Wehrmacht captured quite many of these and they were often sent to FLAK or PAK units as 88 replacements. Plenty of photos of this gun in German service. For some reason, the Germans always removed the muzzle brake. Maybe to reduce blast visibility, after all, their 88's had no muzzle brakes either.

Excellent!

The Azimut kit doesn't come with a shield. There you go, you might have an advantage here...

Hey, how about an artillery tractor? Or maybe a 203-mm B-4 howitzer? (You've got to love that, ugly as hell = fantastic modeling subject!) There are such resin/metal products on the market, but they're very hard to find and cost an arm and a leg...

Considering he included the shield, this is definitely the AT version... (In truth, the same gun could fire both projectiles...)

It not only. This is late version. End WWII and post-war.

VERY nice work. You have done the real piece very proud in miniature AND in presentation. I look forward to hearing the details of the kit.

I just finished the azimut 85mm and the level of detail on your kit equal the azimut kit in all places. The advantage your kit has is a shield, which adds alot to the appearance of the model. The carriage is also better done on your model, especially the treadplate detail. Under what label do you intend to produce this kit, or is it just a limited edition kit that you distribute personnaly.

Cheers
