My E-25 is almost done so I thought I'd offer it up for review and any comments / suggestions.
Still to be done:
1) Reattach commander's periscope (an utter to get to stay in place)
2) Add the commander to hide the gaping chasm of the non-existent interior (he's currently being painted)
3) Pigments to dust up the tracks a bit
My photography skills aren't the best, and in these photos the tracks have turned out a much more vibrant brownish-red than they actually are, while the metallising of the track edges and teeth isn't as apparent here.
As this was a "paper Panzer", I allowed myself a bit of the old "artistic license" with the camo job (while at the same time trying to remain within the realms of plausibility).

Hi Steve, these are sure mean looking beasts. I like your camo, very plausible indeed. Your tracks are a little brown for my liking, but lack of use could explain that.
Your tracks also are not touching all the road wheels on top (or it appears so), this really detracts from the realism effect.
Red fire extinguishers were usually only used inside vehicles, and your jack block needs painting
Steve's E-25
These are small items easily fixed. This will be a cool addition to your bragging shelf.

Hi Steve, the paint job and fading is very nice i really like it, you did say it was a work in progress so i wont comment on the tracks as they just right for some pigments to be added which will tone them down nicely along with the rest of the running gear also the tools and exhaust will add much when detailed, so far looks great i look forward to seeing it done
Ron.
Also Bruce made a good point on the tracks if they could be glued down on the wheels it would look better.

Way little weathering. Looks very default. Tracks are boring.

The touch up work that is left to do appears to have been mentioned. The camouflage on that build is fantastic to my eyes, for a minute I thought you had spray painted a tortoise! Seriously though I am really impressed with that paint scheme regardless of whether it is accurate or not.

Thanks for the comments, guys.
Bruce & Ron - absolutely right about the tracks not quite touching the wheels in places. Only a shade off, but it made all the difference and I've now rectified that, and it looks much better.
I also agree that the tracks need dusting up, but I've deliberately omitted that for now as I want to blend it in with the base it'll (eventually!) go on and would rather do both together for a more harmonious effect.
Darren - yeah these things are quite tortoise-like aren't they?! Someone on another site described his own E-25 as looking like a "Hetzer that ate all the pies" which I thought was also a good description.
Kohmann - you may have a point about the weathering, though to be honest I'm still honing my weathering skills and was so happy with the camo job that I didn't want to risk botching it up on this particular build. Not entirely sure what you mean by "default", and see above with regard to the tracks.
Also, you seem to be new here - so I'm looking forward to you posting up some of your own work to show us all how it should be done

Not much to see there so far at all.
How about some of your existing (i.e. completed) work?

Great looking build and paint job, Steve. Love the camo, nicely muted with great lines. Looking forward to the finished product with the commander. Bravo

hi steve, nice job all around ; and being a paper panzer it is based on artistic license alone ie. conjecture so the tracks could be done anyway and be correct, right . having never been used i am sure they are right on weathered or not. i just picked up the model myself and am really looking forward to getting started on it but am currently doing the trumpeter kv-1E and want to finish for a group build before i start another kit. any way, looks great . keep up the good work jim r.

Steve -
Looks great, like your camo job, very nice indeed. Not going to comment on your tracks, still have a hard time with getting mine right (frankly I stink at them), haven't given up yet. If I changed vehicles and went strictly to tires might be better off! HA!
Thanks for sharing your pics! Keep at it. Cheers -
Tim

Hi Steve,
I'm very impressed by your E-25, the camouflage theme looks very nice. I can understand your point of being happy how the paint work came out and don't ruin it with to much weathering. Just one question as my E-25 today arrived, how were the tracks?
Thanks for sharing your pics!
greetings from Berlin

Hi Steve
Nice job on the E-25 build. I see you managed to avoid the Trumpeter error in which the sprocket wheels ends up hitting the upper part of the hull. I had to bend the s%%t out of my sprocket to get it of.
Thanks trumpeter
Looks like a over all clean build, whit a rock solid camo-job i might add.
Although the tracks are a tad to brown for my taste. But hey, that´s just me
Keep it up

Cheers guys.
Robert - the tracks didn't give me too much grief at all really.
Christian - Since posting these pics originally, I've taken on board the comments about the tracks, and have since dusted 'em up a bit with pigments (along with the running gear), which has improved matters immeasurably.
The commander figure is also (finally!) nearing completion, so the "finished article" will be appearing soon.
I did in fact almost get caught out by the sprocket fitting error in the instructions - as glaring an error as there could be, I feel. But luckily I smelled the rat before applying the sticky stuff.

I´m looking forward to that finished article Steve.
Btw, did you use the rubber "band"-link or the resin links on your E ?

Cool E-25, Steve. Especially the camouflage is excellent and looks perfect for a "1946" panzer.
Thanks for sharing - looking forward to see the finished product
