Hey all, I am in the process of superdetailing my sherman tank. I am working on the turret at this point and would like some feed back on how it looks and if I need to add anything. Keep in mind I am not finished with the turret so some things are still missing.
I have replaced the plastic grab handels with paperclips to help it look better.
I will be getting a brass casting of the .50 cal. MG for the top of the turret. Thanks for looking.

How far to you want to go?
It's kind of a shame that you have already painted and marked the turret before asking about adding details -- all this will have to be re-done if you add anything.
A couple quickies:
Add a vane sight to the commander's hatch.
Add a barrel clip to the commander's hatch.
Add periscope guards.
Fill the edge gap around the pistol port and blend it into the turret.
Add foundry marks (they might be there, but I can't see them).
Add .50 cal. stowage brackets to the rear of the turret.
If you don't have the welded-on armor plate on the gunner's side, add it or add the cast-in bulge.
That's enough to keep you busy for an evening or two ...

Those were good suggestions,it looks like an early M-4,would it have the .50 mounts on the back of the bustle for a disassembkled 50?

Thanks for the sugestions guys! Yes, I decided to do more detailing after I had it painted
So hopefully I can mask off the markings and if not, well I guess I will have to do it over. The 50 cal. is comming, I am bidding on some from ebay.

You are correct that it is a low-bustle turret, but depending upon when it was manufacured, it may have no .50 cal. stowage on the back; a simple MG pintle and barrel clamp; or the full-blown pintle, clamp, plus the brackets and clips, as on the high-bustle turret.
As always, check those reference photos!
