Here's yet another project of mine that's been underway for some time.
It's the Italeri Autoblinda AB41 in 1/35, all OOB except the gun barrel, which was sooo bad I had to replace it with plastic rod and drill out the end. Considering that it's a new mold, and wasn't cheap, this is probably the worst fitting, poorest mold quality kit I've ever had. Fitting all the body panels was extremely frustrating, and more than once I nearly abandoned the project. The paint is Model Master acrylic dunkelgelb and came out looking very green. If anyone else is considering this kit, I definitely suggest priming the model first. I don't normally prime, and this is the result. I'll probably have to overcoat with a different color to get it looking better. I haven't yet decided on which of the kit paint schemes I'll be using, but it will be one of the Italian marking options for sure.

Greg,

I'm building the AB 40 a/c with the railway wheels. Its a nice kit, but you need to take a lot of time dry fitting the various armour panels together. You also have to be careful of not damaging the rather large rivets that run down the sides.

Yours is coming along nicely and I look forward to seeing the finished result.

Greg,

Is looking good... Is just opened the box of a AB41/42 of Warriors Models (resin kit) myself...
Luckily the upperhull is cast in 1 part so no fidgeting with armor panels for me.. Enough other work to be done though...

I appreciate you guy's encouragement.
Hopefully this week I can do a little more work and have an update to show. What little modeling time I've had has been focused on my 1/32 Bf109 and I've had some troubles there also. Man, it's tough to find time for modeling with a 6 month old son who's constantly sick in the house!
I've *just barely* begun the weathering process and I'll probably take some tips from Henk's 222 blog for the tires especially. I really dislike vinyl tires by the way.

Ok small update, I've repainted the entire model this time using Polly Scale dunkelgelb and I think the color is much better this time. I've glossed the whole thing and gotten the decals on, and just done a quick acrylic wash on the underside and wheels.

Oh, yeah, I've decided on a plain yellow vehicle from Italy 1943.
Thanks for looking!
