Well it's getting down to the wire for AMPS so I've buckled down and gotten the majority of the work done on my Bedford. Unfortunately the Bofors gun will not be ready, but that's how it goes.
I've taken some pictures using my new camera and setup. Mostly experimental shots I hope they work for you. I've bought a Nikon D50 with several lenses and filters. It was expensive and hopefully once I figure out the minor nuances thigs will start to look better.
The Model started out from the old Peerless kit. I added brake lines, air lines, bolt details, hollowed out the frame where it's seen. Everything including the spare wheel rack is scratchbuilt. I still need to add a spare wheel mount for a Bofors wheel, mud flaps, and a few small details, otherwise she is ready for paint. Since these photos I've removed the rack on the cab and replaced it with a large tarp which would be the cover for the rear compartment. The tools are all Collectors "Brass items" except for the matchet which is out of the spares box.
While the model isn't exact due to lack of proper info. it's pretty darn close and should work well with the Bofors gun.

Do you mind if I ask where you got the resin wheels from?

Hi Sean,
Excellent work on the QLB so far, it's really starting to take shape.
I was hoping Italeri would have brought out this version when they decided to do the Bofors, but.......lol, lol
Look forward to seeing more.
Do you have a set of plans, I'd really like totry this one some time.

Wheels are from Resicast. You can contact Graham and he will sell them individually.

Hi Al;
The plans....well I basically used the photos on the web, some stowage drawings, and alot of guessing......ummm I mean creative engineering!
I scaled the drawings by knowing one actual dimension and then scaling everything else.
Sorry to be of no other help.

Very nice work

The old Peerless kit was 1/35. It was reboxed as Revell, Italeri, and one other I think. You can still get the Bedford Gun Portee today. It's very good for it's age.
