Hi there Wildcat. I am doing the Aber set as well with the interior pieces as I am doing an interior. I am also doing the Aber turret skirts. One question, did you have to buy the Aber side skirts to get the brackets? I assume so but who knows...
Anyway, looks like a good clean build, have fun painting it,
Andrew

Excellent job. I love the paint job and the weathering. It is subtle yet quite visible. I love the tarp on the back too.

Wow, that divisioninsigna looks scary, anyone know what division it is?
Posted: Monday, April 28, 2003 - 08:11 AM UTC
According to Panzer Colors II this divisional marking belonged to the wading tanks of the 18th Panzer Brigade, of the 18th Panzer Division. This is also confirmed by this site. (if not direct on the right page, go to divisional markings, then the shield section.
As far as the tank goes: WOW
If not fdor the first picture, I would wonder if you had just found an original, and just cleaned it up.... Damn the paintjob looks good...

My hat goes off and my jaw wipes my toes.
This is just excellent job. Are you planning to write a small build story about this project? (PLEASE DO! )
It would be great to know how this piece of art was engineered...especially the paint job.
Sorry for being so overwhelming, this is just one of the best looking tanks I´ve ever seen!

A very nice job esp. the painting.
Since this is rivet review, don't forget to add the wire from the side marker lights, behind the horn,to the fender, along the fender hull crease, then diagonally to behind the main headlight.
The cover of Achtung Panzer # 2 shows it live.
Page 11 shows it in a drawing.I saw that in my kits from DML,and went back and added as necessary.

This is weathering of the highest grade. Perfect! Just love the overall finish. The rusty brackets are brilliant. Congratualtions on a fine model!

Unreasonably good; it looks so heavy and metallic. Please share some tips on the painting/weathering, preferably in excrutiating detail. And how did you do the tarp on back?

Wow, that is is one stunning model. The Pz. III is my favorite AFV (go figure!) and you have done a magnificent job on this one. I can't believe you think there is more to do, but I guess that is one of the things that make great modelers great. I have this Tamiya kit, but I've been waiting until my skill level improves before I start it. Looking at yours, I'm going to have a long wait! (LOL)
Great job!

This is simply a modelling piece of art, I can't add much more to what everyone else has said, so I to join the list of people overawed at this model and also await on your write up. Keep up the good work.

Very nice model..but I'm aliitle worried that the crew will have problems in firing the smoke grenades through the schurzen brackets on the front turret area.
As this is constructive criticism, perhaps a little more rust on the tracks and hull? And perhaps a little less on the schurzen brackets. The vehicle probably would not have had time to get THAT rusty in the Eastern front.
I don't think that the indide hatch cover would be rusty at all. Perhaps a little oily in some places but not much.
I hope that this is taken in the manner meant

Looks good wildcat. The paint job is awesome and the weathering really tells something about the vehicle. You could use though some more light in the pictures so that more detail is visible.
