Hi all,
I have recently purchased a LAV III from RealModel and my fingers are getting impatient to start it!!! Until I get my kit from RM, I was wondering if I could do a few things get a head start on the mailman?
I'm guessing the lower hull, unless there is some conversion work included in the conv set.
Thanks in advance,
Chris

Hi Chris
I have the Real Model LAVIII kit at home but I haven't started it yet, I'm trying to finish my Staghound first. I'll have a look later to be sure, but I think you can assemble most of the lower hull and associated bits like suspensions etc except the wheels and tires because Real Model provides excellent replacements. I'm also sure that if he sees this post, Miloslav Hraban himself who is 'Real Model' will be able to tell you more accurately. Miloslav....?

Hi Chris and Bob,
Yes I agree with Bob, I build with the same system. After glue upper and lower hull I only small fill.

Wow... just received my LAV III yesterday and man, it blows me away! The etch in it is great! The resin parts, just plain amazing! And a metal barrel in it as well! Gorgeous kit... can't wait to start it!
Did I mention that the shipping was the cheapest I ever paid but also the fastest? I wish Canadian postal services were that fast! Took 5 days door to door!
Thank you Miloslav for a great addition and please, keep up your good work!
Cheers,
:-)

Ross, you should be able to order the conversion direct from Real Model And of course the AFV Club Stryker will be needed.
There's a Stryker/LAV-III build going on right now in the 'Campaigns' group.

Hello All,
I've been doing a blog on the build located here Canadian LAVIII Blog and at Tankleader's Blog . There is a minor/major issue depending on your building skill with the real hull section part E1 which needs to be modified in order to fit the hull.
Tanks
Andy
