OK, looking for input, Israeli M-113 Zelda. I need to do all of the exterior detailing as well as some more weathering. I'm really sweating how the TOGA armor looks. Is the wash too heavy?
Hopefully this thing will be done by next weekend....

Hey Porkchop,
The Zelda is looking really good. I think if anything you could almost go a little heavier on the wash. That of course depends on what you are going for though. You could add some heavy scratches( in silver or aluminum ) to the lower part of the front hull, and on the contact points on the ramp at the rear. Almost all of your dry brushing should be done in aluminum. Great job so far!!!!!

Looking very good. Only one comment that I can say other than Great Job. The right track has its seam on the bottom. If you could roll the tracks so the seam is on top and hidden it would look a smidge better.
Love the flag.

Looking good Porkchop. I dont see any heavy washing at all! The colour seems to be a bit "WW2 yellow". But I guess no two of these are ever the same colour! What else have you to do?

Slodder:
I saw that track issue too and knew about it during construction. I usually put those seams on the bootm with no problems, but not this time. It's one of those concessions I'm willing to make, can't move the tracks now!!! thanks for the input, I was kinda worried about how this was looking. i think you lose perspective after a while.
Plastic: Still gotta load the outside up with details and do some weathering in a few spots. I also have a TC to add and the ammo boxes for all three MGs need to be attached. I still can't figure out IDF colors, though that is Testors MM Israeli Armor lightended with a little white. I've seen some much darker and more green.
thanks all,
Nate

May I suggest that a very heavy "dust" pastel pigment would work very well here. I think that the airbrush and wash jobs are done.
Perhaps some minor scratches to the lower part of the add on armour / hull would work well too?
Nice job Nate!!!

Looking good Nate. Are you a Ward fan, or do you just love the way he talks?

I love your attention to detail on those interiors Nate! The boots and the Playboy on the fighting compartment are a touch of genious! My question is, is that an Israeli Playboy??? The rivet counters may have a problem with that one.......just kidding.

LOL Bombshell. It's in English, no translation nexessary.
However, after looking at reference photos (again and more cloely) I think the TOGA armor is about 2 scale feet too low on the kit. I'm gonna take some time to ponder what I'm going to do, I may take a break on this kit and work on a 120MM Marine at Chosin for a while (I always go in streaks like this on subject matter).....
Thanks for all the kind words.

Now thats a nice lookin` zelda. It`s a little too modern for me but I really like the vehicle. As was said before the small details like the boots and the playboy just add that little extra. I also second what slodder said about the right track as the joint where the tracks are connected is maybe a little bit too visible.
Further I have to admit that this is a really good looking vehicle
