It has been up at MSN for a while but I am going to try and post it here. Its the Zvezda t-34/85mm kit. Nice kit, my first try at armor. The figures are Zvezda as well. The little bit of groundwork is a scribed plaster street with some rubble and popsicle stick boards. My only problems were with a warped hull that just didn't want to straighten out. Any comments or tips/slags are welcome.

eh, MSN seems to be having a bit of a problem right now. None of the Armorama MSN hosted pics are showing up. Your pic should show up in the box below when Microslush gets it fixed. I'm guessing since I can't actually see what I'm doing.

Dunno, it seems to be just the Armorama site for me. DSB site and a couple of others I belong to are fine.

Twisted, do you know of any other good free image hosting sites? I could use one or two. Thanks,

Shaun

non that allow you to hotlink inline graphics like MSN. I know webshots is a decent host, but you have to go to Webshots to view them, so you would only be able to add links. Most ISP's give their users webspace, usually about 10 megs or so. That's what I use. Generally it's not as user friendly to get your images uploaded, they give you a generic webpage and let you add your own personal info, but don't really tell you how to upload your own stuff outside of that page unless you know what help to search for. If your ISP has hosting and you need help uploading, let me know.

Here is a trick some people don't know about though. Geocities is a free webhost that gives you a few megs. Like most free hosts they don't like you to hotlink inline images and block them from being transferred out. However, if you change the extension from .JPG to .TXT and use that file name in your link it will work. Most browsers nowadays can tell what type of file is being transferred no matter what the extension is and will display it properly. This will actually work on any hosting site, it's just more often used on Geocities.com sites. The image below is stored on my site as "test.txt", but you should see it pop up as a small pic of my pink tank. Right-click on the pic and select properties and you will see the actual file name says http://members.verizon.net/~vze4mfzt/test.txt even though it is obviously not a text file. You can sign up for more than one account at Geocities if you want., too.

Hey bison44 you can take all the credit for this model ........ Zvezda take none! The road work is brilliant ......... it looks excellent! And so dusty as well. The tank is well finished. Im by no means a rivet counter but those tracks look awful! This is one of those occasions I would buy AM tracks. the detail on them look very poor and some sag is needed. Maybe thats something you could try and glue them to the tops of the road wheels. Well the figure actually look OK and have some nice poses ... I like the guy sitting on the turret looking down! I love the heavy weld seems on russian vehicles and the hull doesnt seem to have any! A good way to fix the headlight is to drill out the part painted silver and fill it with clear superglue. Then paint it with gloss varnish.
As the saying goes " its hard to make a silk purse from a sows ear!", but its a pity the quality of the kit takes away the quality of your work!

Thanks everybody for the comments. The headlight is indeed just painted silver, this project dragged on for months and I finally got frustrated and just slapped it in. #:-) The street is just cheap old drywall mud that I scribed with a nail file and then painted with hobby acrlyics. Thanks TF for actually getting a picture up for everybody to see.
Plastic Battle: The tracks are crappy (detail only on 1 side), I used dark grey, black, rust and drybrushed with silver. Any tips for better tracks??
