My understanding from reading some books is that the battle began dry and about 4-5 days into it it turned into a mud. I also belive the Soviets built trenches with gun postions and buried tanks. Is this correct? Does any one have pice of the trenches, gun or tank postions? Working on a couple of dio ideals and just need to see if they are possible or not. Thanks.

Scott, My research leads me to believe that the soviets established an extensive trench system which was linked with anti-tank positions and minefields specifically designed to channel the mass of armor that the Germans were expected to deploy. I have had no luck finding any pics of the trenches as yet. hope this info helps, milvehfan
