Are there any kits of large WWII Soviet artillery. Looking for something above the 100mm range. How are they? Any extra detail sets?

Trumpeter announced a 203mm Howitzer that has tracks instead of wwheels and is towed. Don't know when it is going to be released though. Hope this helps Bob

Hey Scott,
There's a few other kits out their.
Zvezda makes a 122mm M-30 howitzer, kit #3510:

http://www.zvezda.org.ru/?lng=eng&nav=1&p=21&set=3510

Italeri sold a re-boxed version a few years ago, kit #349
Zvezda used to have a 120mm mortar that Italeri also re-boxed, kit #348.
The same weapon was copied and used by the Germans and Zvezda sells a version of it:

http://www.zvezda.org.ru/?lng=eng&nav=1&p=21&set=3583

ICM used to make a 100mm BS-3 Field Gun/Anti-Tank, kit #35141
It's not on their website but may be available from Alanger who bought out ICM a few years ago when they went bankrupt.
Alanger's website is not working, I can't read Russian so I don't know if they're still in business.
Cheers

ICM also boxed the BS-3 100 mm gun together with their Ural 4320 truck (an ex Omega K kit) and sold it as a "War in the Balkans" set (they could recycle a limited kit list into a much larger product line by mixing and matching them). They may have included it it one of their other "theme" kits as well, so look at the box art if you see these listed. Alanger re-released the gun separately at just $8.95, but it's now listed as discontinued. Shouldn't be that hard to find online though. There are aftermarket resin wheels available to dress it up a bit if you like, and the detailing is quite nice out of the box. The gun entered service near the end of World War Two, but it remained in service around the world for decades.
