Hello Folks:
I need some people to look this over and tell me if it's
ok to move on to the Future coat and try my hand at
filters and washes.
Your advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks
..Mutt..

welcome to armor mutt! the build looks pretty good. if you're planning on doing more weathering after trying the filters then I'd say go ahead. from the pictures I can't see anything obvious that would still need to be done. let us know how you do with filters

hi tony
it looks realy good to me but befor you seal the base coat of yellow try to spend a little time on the detail painting like the spade and the towing cables then everything will blend together when you start applying the filters and washes.

Thanks Neil, I'll do that. I thought you had to seal it all up first.
And Anthony:
DML #6051-1:35, 39-45 series
Aber PE, Armorscale barrel, Friulmodel tracks and Cavalier zimmerit.
The paint is the Wal-Mart we can match it acrylic.
They did a color spectrum analysis of Tamiya dark yellow.
The cost was $6.00 a quart. The paint was kinda thick so I thinned it
with tamiya thinner- 2 parts thinner 1 part paint.
The kit built very well with just the normal amount of clean up. It was the PE and
tracks that had me talking to my imaginary friends.
For a first time tank builder, ive made it this far and the JT is still in one piece, not
bad for me.
Thanks for taking the time to reply

Good looking build and finish so far Tony. Very creative with your choice of paint colors, economical as well. $6.00 a quart, great bargain, compared to $3-5 dollars for a little 1/3oz or 1/2 oz bottle!
Looking forward to seeing your next steps of your finishing. Thanks for sharing your pics! What's your imaginery friends think?
Cheers-
Tim

At this point i've got all the dodads painted or preprimed for paint.
I sprayed her all down with Future this morning.
I was looking at her a few minutes ago and realized I don't know where
the fuel and oil filler caps are, kinda makes it tough to put stains around
these.
Can someone out there point these caps out for me?
I'd be thankful to you

Tony ,Tony ,Tony....So this is where you've been hiding this build ....hmmmm ...Looks pretty darn nice to me ...If I'd have found this before I might have told you to paint the barrel a dark grey instead of primer as it seems the latest info has the barrels covered in a heat resistant grey paint . Other than that great job sir ...congrats on the first armor kit and I'll be watching this one as you progress ...Good job bud!

I put the wash on today and this is about as dark as I want it
at this point.
Do I let this dry overnight before I add my rain and rust streaks?
After that do I proceed to the dirt?
Then flat spray and then the dusting?
I'm done in just after that.

Not before its time.
You paint a little and wait for it to dry, paint a little and wait for it to dry.
I've just about got All Quite On the Western Front read just waiting.
I did some chipping, scuffing and mud today. Tomorrow we'll see a
wash of buff and maybe some earth then the rain and a few rust streaks.
Sure be glad when this first one is behind me.
