Hello, everyone!
I joined Armorama just recently, and this is my first post. I have been building armor for less than a year. No previous model experience except aircraft in my childhood.
Just as an intro I am posting my last completed model (my 4-th in total) - 1/35 Trumpeter KV-2. I decided to show this model for two main reasons:
1) I usually use acrylics to paint models. This time I tried enamel.
2) I also tried different primer - Armory. It creates an interesting texture, and that was a total surprise to me. Does it work? (Used Tamiya primer before, but shop that sells it went out of business, so I am looking for something else to replace Tamiya.)
Model was built 95% OOB. The barrel is from Jordi Rubio. The plug for the rear gun port is scratch build based on the similar plug from Voyager.
In painting I tried to re-create an appearance of an old tank, that has been "around a block"...
Would love any comments you can give.

You say it's only number four?
It sure looks like it's been "around the block" to me.
You're doing real good my man, real good.

Welcome to Armor modelling.I have been building armor for only a little over two years myself.Previously planes and ships.
Very nice work and good weathering, the texture you mentioned looks good.and the tracks are outstanding.
If I may something constructive, that the running surface of the road wheels would be worn down to bare metal, unless that tank had been sitting abandoned for a very long time.
Keep up the good work

Thanks for your comments, Tony-s! (Easy to reply to all, since for some reason only guys with the name "Tony" commented...Weird...)
Agree, also teeth on the sprocket usually worn to a bare metal. I just need to learn to create that perfect balance between tracks/wheels being dirty and being worn and shiny.

What I do is put the shiny steel finish on,either paint or pigments, and then I weather the steel surface, just not as much as the front of the wheel.

Fantastic KV-2 Alex! Your finish and weathering came out great, like it a lot. Keep at it, you've done a wonderful job with this one. Thanks for sharing your photos!
