Halloa,
here some pics of italeri's kit.
i have made some modifications.(in the yellow circle)
these are:
- 76mm barrel from jordi rubio
- grey parts come from dragon's fireflykit
- all roadwheels
- machinegun in the hull
- darkgreen parts come from various tamiya sherman kits
- headlights
- aircleaners replaced bij squar ones, kit provided circle type
- pioneer tools
- spare track blocks
- rack on the back
- .50 cal. + hatch on turret
- antenna in the kit was the british style, so i replaced it with academy's m10
- made a molding structure on the turret, hull
- still to made a hedgerow cutter, but i'm out of evergreen and to buy a resin cutter !? thats not my style i want to have a homemade.
it's gona be a sherman from the 2nd or 3rd Arm. Div. at operation Cobra in july '44.
so the tank needs a camoflage of black stripes over OD
at the moment i am busy with diorama.
i want to make a hedge where the sherman is trying to push through.
tips and commets ( + and - ) are welcome
greets Sander

Just in case ........ there was a group build not so long ago with the Italeri 76. Lots of points and info there. It was in the armor forum.

hi there,
jimbrae , i useing the FSM from februart and march 2002 whit article from Bob Collignon,
sherman at war part 2 from concord, sherman in action from squadron . and many different website's . for the things to change on the kit i used thise site :
http://www.usarmymodels.com/MANUFACTURERS/Italeri/italeri225.html
shermanfreak , i going to use the tamiya rubber chevron tracks
scoccia - there comes an tarp on the deck and some tamiya backspacks , not to many , just a bit.
this is a nice kit for its age, but there are things to do to make it a better kit
greats Sander
