Hi there, Faust!
I like the way that the groundwork turned out.
The rust effect on the metal part is very well done.
My only advice would be to tone down a little bit the camo colours, maybe some subtle drybrushing of the base color over it will do the trick.
Let's continue posting your updates.!

Thanks for the kind words. About the camo colors. I usually make them a bit brighter then normal since the mat varnish of Humbrol is a bit brownish of it's own. And I usually use the matt varnish to tone down everything and end up with exactly the colors I want.
I am just a little bit further with the figure. Pants and leggings are painted just as the shoes. Added Matt varnish over all the fabrics. Added some pigments here and there to simulate dirt. Painted the panzerfaust including the markings and the instruction sticker on the head of it. Toned all the markings down with pigments. Did some detail painting and the only thing left to do is doing some touchups here and there.
Had to do the pictures again with my cell phone since the cam I usually take these kind of pictures with is with my parents to Curacao. This time only 2 of the 5 pics were good.
Next to the touchups I need to think of a name... Which I'm already thinking about for some time but still have not come up with something really good. I'm always open to suggestions

Robert - this one has come out quite nicely. Love the dirty pants, they look really natural.

I seem to have overlooked the later developments on that one. It really turned out nice as the colours just fall together very harmoniously, as for water you are right, just dive in it and things are not as hard as they appear. I have never used the Faller water btw...

Robert,
Fantastic little scene. Great job on the water, the figure, the plants - the entire composition.
The murky effect you've achieved with the water is fantastic. Big thumbs-up from me.

Thanks for the replies
@ Scott
Thanks for the kind words. I have put your title on the list I have with potential names. And have a good "chew" on it
@ Jean Bernard.
Thanks for the compliments on the colors. I did take a lot of care to paint everything so it would match each other and to tie everything in. The matt varnish was actually the last step in which the figure was pulled even in tone with the groundwork.
BTW... Do yourself a favor and keep pouring the resin water. I bought the faller product because I did not want to pour resin... When testing I eventually found the Faller product so dissapointing that I went the resin way instead. No regrets really. I learned a lot.
@ Steve
Thanks a lot mate for the compliments they are appreciated.

Hello Faust,
The figure painting looks incredible, I had reservations until you did the matte finish. Then it all came together, along with the pigments, Great Results. Very nice work.
Best Regards,

Thanks for the compliments.

Thanks for the compliments. With this figure I actually made the colors brighter then they needed to be taking into the account that Humbrol matt varnish is a bit brownish and it worked out exactly as I planned.

Hope I spelled that correctly. Thanks for the compliments.

Very nice, Robert. And I come away from this with two thoughts... first of all, "Hmmm... maybe I can do a water feature, too." Second... I've gotta try that nail polish remover trick with Squadron putty!

You definately should try the Nail polish remover/putty thingy. It works like a dream. Make sure you use Nailpolish remover without aceton because that stuff eats plastic.
Ok well last update for now. The whole vignette is finished. Put on a little base. Got a title too. I decided to go with reflections because I liked the double meaning of it. Thanks to James Duncan who came up with that name. Pics are again a bit [auto-censored]ty because I still have to make them with my cellphone. But here they are. The piece is finished. Up to the next one.
And it managed to get a prize too at the KMK scaleworld this year it managed to pick away a bronze medal. Which I did not counted on too much after seeing the competition in my category. But still a happy Camper.

Jolly well done Robert!
I have only just caught this at it's finality, post medal winning and all!
A really good use of angle/slope on such a small space. The resin levels it up a bit whilst adding a new medium. I'll stop talking now,as I sound like a wine critic...
Love the title; nice on James!
Cheers
